You’re a Bird! You wax and wane with the sun, know where all your people are at any given moment and are a total rock star. But hey, rock stars have people in the background making sure the small stuff gets done so you can focus on the big show (aka living your best bird life). It takes a crew and we’re thrilled to have your back.
Before we dive into the food stuff, let’s start this party off with an evening mocktail to help you maintain energy until bedtime, support healthy cortisol levels and manage stress. It’s amazing what some concentrated nutrients in a pretty glass will do to your mind and body.
The Motherload-Off
- 1 Cutie Orange, peeled
- 2 oz Pineapple
- 8 oz Coconut Water
- 1 Tbsp Canned Coconut Milk
- Pinch of Himalayan Salt or Sea Salt
Directions | Blend everything but the salt in a blender with ice as desired until smooth. Pour into your favorite glass and top with salt. Optional: Wet the rim of your glass with water and dip the rim into the sea salt for a Marg feel.
Now that you have a solid drink in your hand, let’s get into this and start at the beginning of a solid food plan that creates more time and space for you to do the things you love.
How to do a meal plan for families?
You’ve probably meal planned, in fact, you’re a bird, you probably meal plan every week or close to it. But, have you meal prepped? Have you spent 1-2 hours once a week prepping for the week so you have little to no cooking the rest of the week? Maybe you’ve doubled up on dinner Sunday night for the week or prepared some breakfasts for the week, but a planned out meal prep plan can take you from having a few items in the fridge but still cooking a lot during the week, to an organized fridge with meals prepped and ready to go saving you hours every week.

Is a weekly meal service really worth it?
Let me tell you about the ultimate game changer. A weekly meal service. A meal service, ours if you’re in our area, or one close to you, can save you money, time and mental load.
Take 5 minutes the previous week to select lunches, dinners and treats to fill in to your overall meal plan for the week. Looking at your schedule and choosing a pre-prepared dinner for those super busy stressful nights and ready-to-eat lunches on those days that you are non-stop can help make sure everyone (including you) get the nutrients you need to be at your best. Lift the mental load of planning, shopping and prepping for every meal next week.
If you find yourself tossing food at the end of the week, a meal service can help reduce or eliminate food waste making sure you’re not wasting money. And, if you haven’t done a shop and compare between the grocery store a meal service, now is a great time to do that. It totally feels like a luxury. So much so, that I’ve had clients tell me they feel guilty ordering our dinners kits because they feel like they should be cooking for their families. But heres the thing, there are so many ways to show up for ourselves and our families that are so much more important than cooking dinner and if having some dinner support a couple nights a week helps you show up in bigger ways its so worth it. And, when you compare like ingredients, add in time saved and sanity won, a meal service really is less expensive.
See what’s on the menu for next week.
And so my fine feathered friend, this is a start of something beautiful where you have some new tools to support you in the background while you shine bright and fly strong.
